In Ecclesiastes 3:1, it says that “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Well, summer is the season for sweet tea, shades, and mixtapes! If you’re looking for Christian music that you can worship, sing, and dance to, these songs should be on your summer playlist:
“Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?”
Moses | Exodus 3:11
To most Christians, Moses is a deliverer who saved his people from the wrath of Pharaoh. But to me, Moses will always be the man that hesitated in front of the burning bush. He second-guessed God’s decisions, when the only thing that he needed to do was to pick up his staff and perform miracles.
As I looked at God’s assurances (and Moses’ excuses) in Exodus 3-4, I remembered all of my own fears, my doubts and offenses, my scars and imperfections…
…despite all of these sins, can God use people like you and me to enact His perfect will? Could we be deliverers in this new age, when the lost are the only ones that need saving?
