“For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ.”
Paul The Apostle | Galatians 1:10
How often do we change our behavior to conform to the values of our family, friends, and colleagues when we should abide in Christ? It’s easy to lose sight of our divine purpose when we strive to please men instead of God. If you have been struggling to in your Christian walk, you may need to shift your focus from the people around you to your father in heaven.
Pay attention to the still small voice that guides you as you walk with the Lord. If anyone asks you to do something that goes against your principles, rely on the Holy Spirit to respond with the power of biblical truth. Don’t give in to peer pressure, for the love of God is far more valuable than the love of man.
Dear God, give me the strength to stand by my convictions when others try to lead me astray. Help me be a light to those who live in spiritual darkness: a living testament of your righteousness, mercy, and love.
