After a six-month hiatus, I am excited to return to YouTube with new videos about Jesus, writing, and graduate school. Here is some more info about my life as a PhD student and aspiring Christian fiction author!
I have been alive for 27 years and 11 months; that’s 881,107,200 seconds of continuous breathing, of taking in the sights, sounds, and wonders of the world around me. And although I have had millions of amazing moments, I have also had my fair share of disappointments.
After years of growth as a writer, scholar, and evangelical woman, I have learned to accept the highs and lows of this life. They are a part of our journey from this world to the next, and like any intelligent globetrotter, the God-fearing Christian knows that they don’t have to travel down those roads alone.
I remember what life was like when I worked a 9-5 job, from early morning BART rides to late night dinners. After six exhausting years in financial and academic sales, I am so glad that I left Corporate America for the thrill of running my own business.
I have so much freedom as a freelance writer: I choose my own clients, I set my own schedule, and I decide how much I will earn from each project. And when life gets tough (and I wonder if I would prefer the stability and camaraderie of a traditional career), I remember all of the benefits that my unusual career path has to offer.
